What is Fee-Only Planning?

Financial planning is more than financial products.  Fee-Only planning creates a financial road map guiding clients through retirement, tax, estate planning, insurance, employee benefits, and investment decisions.  As a fee-only planner, I am compensated by hourly fees, not by product commissions. This method allows me to make unbiased recommendations to my clients.

I provide education and analysis to help my clients make informed financial decisions.  By providing record keeping, I help my clients organize and bring together their financial information.

Fee-Only Planning will help answer the following questions:

·    Will I outlive my money?

·    Is my current portfolio too conservative or too risky?

·    How do I bring together all of my financial information so I know what my portfolio looks like?

·    I am in debt up to my ears; what is the best way to reduce my outstanding debt?

·    How do I create a budget?

·    What are this year’s tax changes and how do they affect me?

·    How much life insurance do I really need?

·    How do I use QuickBooks for my business?

·    What are some good investment strategies for my 401(k)?

·    From a tax perspective, what is the best way to structure my charitable giving?

·    What would my monthly mortgage payments be if I purchased a $200,000 home? An $800,000 home?

·    My child is graduating from high school next year: how do I know if I have set enough money aside?  If I haven’t, how can I secure financial aid?

·    When can I retire?

·    Do I have enough set aside for retirement?  If not, how much should I be saving annually?

·    How do I minimize estate taxes and maximize the amount that goes to my heirs after my death?
